Welcome to the home of the Chester Vermont “Alternative” calendar.
Our little town of Chester Vermont, as the (incredibly accurate) promotional slogan goes, is “Beautiful in every season”. However as with many towns in Vermont it is often only considered as a destination for only one season of the year. In an effort to change this perception a group of local business women created this calendar to raise funds for local projects and promote awareness of this beautiful little town. Whilst considering that autumn is our most photographed season it seemed appropriate that we use images of ‘mature” ladies with colorful characters, vivid personalities, and like the best foliage shots, are captured at their peak! J To continue with the Autumnal metaphor it should be pointed out that for our 2008 Calendar there was a lot more than leaves dropping in Chester Vermont ! Whilst our ladies are “technically” nude we’re sure you’ll agree that the images are tasteful, aesthetically pleasing and will bring a chuckle to those who can appreciate the giddy terror we were happy to endure to do something positive for the town we all call home.

There are 12 lovely ladies……here are three to grab your interest J

Chester Vermont is your “nearer far away”.  2 ½ half hours drive from Boston, or 4 from New York and easily accessible, being only 10 easy miles from I-91.   Chester has retained its elegance and charm as a Victorian village, with rural countryside that attracts visitors from around the world. Intoxicated by its beauty, many stay and make it their home, or, their home away from home.

Perfectly situated between Okemo Mountain Resort and Bromley & Magic Mountains, it is a skier's paradise. If downhill’s not your thing then we have X-country at Grafton, sleigh rides, snow shoeing snowmobiles and ice skating. It's only a short scenic drive to the Weston Playhouse or the world famous Vermont Country Store (in both Weston and Rockingham), and 30 miles from Manchester Village as well as Woodstock, VT. In the summer you can hike, bike, kayak or canoe or swim our lakes and rivers. Chester has upwards of 15 Inns, B&B's, motels and hotels. The "Village Green", in the center of town, has over two dozen boutiques, specialty shops, restaurants, markets, deli's, galleries, and lodging complete with an information center, a beautiful old graveyard, library and playground to burn off a little steam. You can find more stores, galleries and restaurants tucked away in the mountainside or along its winding backroads.

The other side of town has the historic Chester Depot which runs the Green Mountain Rail Tours to Bellows Falls. The Yosemite Firehouse Museum, the historic Stone Village, more markets, galleries and shops are all found in and around the depot.

Best of all, the village of Chester has kept its sense of community that weaves the town together through well managed town services, quality businesses, excellent schools, both elementary and upper grades, along with many active churches, clubs and organizations. Residents maintain a sense of pride in keeping Chester a quaint Vermont village, tucked neatly between the hustle and bustle of Manchester Village and the growing art communities of Saxton's River and Bellows Falls.

The Chester Calendar group is non profit and all money raised will go to local community projects and promotions.
